MCKB solder‑free adapter is dedicated fixture for NXP‑Killer. It holds NCF29XX square smart‑key PCBs firmly without soldering iron or hot‑air station. Avoid PCB burn, bad solder joints and chip damage caused by manual soldering work.

A: Count the flashes of the first green light upon power connection. The number of flashes indicates the remaining uses.

Q: How do I confirm a successful read?
A: After pressing the read button, the green light will stay on, indicating success.

Q: How do I confirm a successful write?
A: After pressing the write button, the green light wll stay on, indicating success.

Q: Can I read once and copy to many keys?
A:Yes, if it's an unlimited version device.

Q: Why does the red light appear when reading/writing keys?
A: The circuit board is not aligned with the adapter.

Q: Will I lose points if the read or write operation fails?
A: No.

Q: Why does the tool stop responding after the indicator lights up upon power connection?
A: The power connection is unstable and needs to be reconnected.

Q: Can I solder the circuit board myself?
A: Yes, the package includes soldering wires for the circuit board.

Q: Can I use this device to clean/unlock the key?
A: Yes, it can first read a blank key, then copy it to a key with data.

Q: Can it copy NCF29AG chips?
A: Yes.

Q: Can it be used indefinitely? Does it require points?
A: The limited version can only be cloned 4 times. The unlimited version can be used without restrictions.

Q: Which keys can it copy?
A:It can copy most smart keys with NCF29 chips.

Q: What adapters are available?
A: Over 200 types of adapters are available for various key models.

Q: Can it only copy original keys?
A: The adapter is designed according to the original circuit board. If the location of the aftermarket circuit board is the same as the original circuit board, they are compatible. Or, if you know how to solder, then both original and aftermarket keys can be copied.

Q: Are there compatible aftermarket remote keys?
A: Yes,we are currently in production.

Q: Does it require in-car operation?
A: No. No OBD. No Laptop. No Internet. Just Copy & Go.

Q: Can the new key and the original car key be used simultaneously?
A: IMPORTANT: Due to key code duplication, the original and the new key cannot be used simultaneously (except for BMW BDC2/3). We recommend this as a perfect spare key solution, allowing one key to be functional at a time while the other serves as a reliable backup.

Q:Can the adapter be used with other devices?
A:Yes,the adapter is compatible with KYDZ,KD,CG,and VVDI devices.

Q: Is it require the WAKE UP function when using MCKB adapters?
A: Yes, the WAKE UP function is still required even when using MCKB adapters. MCKB solder‑free adapters only provide stable physical pin connection and avoid soldering damage. They cannot wake up deep‑sleep, locked, or encrypted NCF29XX chips. 

Q: When should the WAKE‑UP pin be connected for NCF29XX key cloning?
A: Based on locksmith field‑tested experience:

1. Some original key PCBs pull the WAKE pin down to GND by hardware. For these boards, WAKE‑UP signal connection is mandatory for read, reset and write operations, otherwise communication cannot be established.
2. For boards where WAKE pin is left floating on PCB: ①When reading used immobilizer‑locked chips with original vehicle data, read and reset operations usually work with only VCC, GND, MSDA and MSND wiring; WAKE‑UP may not be necessary. ②WAKE‑UP connection is generally required for writing data to brand‑new blank NCF29XX chips, otherwise write failures may occur. ③After a used chip is erased by RESET function and becomes blank, WAKE‑UP connection is normally required for subsequent writing.
3. ⚠️Exceptions exist for some modified or abnormal key PCBs. If communication fails, connect WAKE‑UP as troubleshooting step.
4. Note: WAKE‑UP is a hardware communication pin, separate from RESET / immobilizer unlock function.

The MCKB adapter solves hardware connection problems, while the Wake Up function solves chip-level sleep & encryption restriction problems. They are complementary and irreplaceable.
